I Bought a Bottle Washer (Momcozy) — Here’s What I’d Do Differently

I know, I know—a bottle washer. Can’t you just use your regular dishwasher or hand wash bottles?

Honestly… yes, I could. But as someone who cooks a lot (I’m talking multiple meals from scratch most days), our kitchen already produces a mountain of dishes. Our dishwasher couldn’t keep up, and neither could a drying rack.

We also live in a rental, and I don’t totally trust the dishwasher for baby stuff (maybe that’s paranoia, but it’s real). So for our life right now, a bottle washer felt like the simplest way to stay on top of bottles without adding one more daily chore.

Does it work?

Yes—it works, and it works well.

It’s simple: load it up, fill it with water, press start, and it does a great job cleaning. I use it constantly, and I’m genuinely grateful we have it.

What I don’t love (the stuff you should know before buying)

1) It takes up a lot of counter space

I don’t have a big kitchen, and it takes up way more room than I expected. If you’re tight on counter space, that alone might be a dealbreaker.

2) The tablets are expensive (but I found a workaround)

The tablets add up fast. The good news: this was fixable. I switched to my regular baby-safe, non-toxic dishwasher pods, and so far everything has been totally fine.

3) The drain design is my biggest complaint

This is the worst part for me. I wouldn’t mind the size as much if I could place it where I want aesthetically (like tucked in the corner). But because it needs to drain and the drain has to reach the sink, it basically has to live right next to the sink.

So it’s… a giant, very useful eyesore.

Final verdict: would I buy it again?

Maybe surprisingly: probably not.

Not because it doesn’t work—it does, and I’m happy with how well it cleans. But in a small kitchen, the counter space + drain placement makes it annoying to look at all the time.

If I were doing it over, I’d probably try a bottle drying rack that I actually love seeing on my counter. But do I want to get rid of this? Nope. It’s too useful.
